Usability, branding and design innovations in water meter design line
Kamstrup's new flow meter control box is the first in a new line of water metering products. The design DNA for the new products covers the physical product design as well as the overall interaction design approach of the water meters. The user research carried out for Kamstrup has made sure that both installation procedure, read-out and service are improved with the new design.
The visual expression communicates toughness as well as refinement and has elements that connect to the other metering products made by Kamstrup.

Ventilating interior design - Airmaster
Creating unexpected user benefits
Class rooms need fresh air. To meet the latest standards large ventilation equipment is mandatory. This is both a technical- and a design challenge. design-people contributed with an innovative design concept for the new Airmaster 1200 that integrates well into class rooms. New surface materials and a modular design concept give the users an option for customisation of the unit to make it fit in visually. With the option for noise cancelling surface materials it can improve the indoor class room acoustically too – an unexpected valuable benefit for the learning environment
Long lasting design DNA
The elegant wall mounted units form a range of controls that follow the same interaction and design principles.
In 2004 the deviheat 130 succesfully launched the design line with a red dot design award. Since then a number of different controls extended the Danfoss-DEVI product and design line. A new red dot design award for the deviheat 233 in 2008 confirmed the succes of the long lasting design DNA.

Wind power in control
DEIF supplies a range of power controls for a variety of different applications. The TCM-2 is used together with wind turbines in order to ensure an efficient energy production.
The design of the unit aims at a high level of usability for the installer. The robust and reliable overall expression, contains design elements, that link the product to DEIF’s design line.

Restrained building technology
In 2003 the Airmaster product family of well design building ventilation equipment was lauched. The match of energy efficient ventilation and good design has been succesful since.
Numerous in-door and our-door fittings have completed the product range - all based on the same design approch: a clear and restrained design with as little visual impact on the architecture and interior as possible. Colaboration with building architects was used to validate the designs.
